Appalachian Chapter of the American Society of Dowsers (ASD) is a regional dowsing group serving western North Carolina and the South Carolina upstate area.
This chapter of the American Society of Dowsers (ASD) was chartered in 1981 as a non-profit educational organization, dedicated to public education about dowsing and intuitive abilities, providing public lectures and training classes covering the broad scope of dowsing techniques. ASD itself was chartered in 1961.
There are four chapter meetings per year on the third Saturday of February, May, September and November. We also hold a summer Social Picnic in August. There are 6 special Interest Groups that meet occasionally and hold field trips.
The Quarterly meeting program is announced in the newsletter and on this website with directions to the meeting location. The meeting runs from 1 pm to 4:30 pm, with time available before the program for socializing, from 11:00 to 1:00. There are also two hands-on dowsing tutorials each meeting from 11:15 to 12:45.
Our newsletter, The Wellspring, contains feature articles of interest to dowsers and announcements of events. Past issues of the newsletter are available on this website.
Membership in Appalachian Chapter is $25 per year. Members are entitled to free admission at chapter meetings, and receive the newsletter at no cost. All interested persons are welcome at the meetings; the cost for non-member visitors is $10.
